Practice console · headphones recommended

Wing practice console

A hands-on version of our front of house console, laid out the way the Wing works. Press the view buttons beside the screen, select channels, turn knobs and move faders. Turn on sound and a practice band, worship leader and pastor play through it, so you hear every move: gain, low cut, gate, EQ, compression, faders, pan, mute and solo. Nothing you do here affects the real desk.

Drag knobs up and down (hold Shift for fine moves), scroll on a knob or fader, or use the arrow keys. Double-click a fader to set it to 0 dB. On a phone, scroll sideways to see the whole desk.

Use headphones and start with your volume low. Nothing plays until you turn it on.

Practice Sabbath

Run a service

About four minutes, from walk-in to walk-out. A stage manager calls cues in your headphones, and a few surprises get thrown in. Act fast, keep the mix clean, and get a score at the end.

Fix-it scenarios

Each scenario sets up a real problem: feedback building, a muddy or harsh voice, a distorted input. Listen, find it on the meters and the EQ graph, and fix it the way you would on Sabbath. Sound is optional but strongly recommended.

Practice missions

Each mission checks itself off when the console is set right. Missions, scenarios and service scores are saved to your account, and your crew lead can see them.

Simplified for training. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Behringer. The practice band is a generated placeholder; replace the files in wing-audio/ with your own rehearsal recordings to practice on your real band.
